Some of the more hardcore players could unlock this in one week if focused, but Bungie expects most players to need a second week – maybe even a second Season. To set expectations for this new Seal and title, Iron Lord hopefuls can expect to spend around 15 to 20 hours to unlock this flair. The weekly bounties that typically award Pinnacles have been deprecated appropriately to balance out this change.īecoming an Iron Lord: With these new Iron Banner reworkings, a new Seal and title will also be available to earn. This will help you land more weapons and fewer armor duplicates. If you amass a ton doing this endless quest, dump them before you turn in your quest steps. If you’ve been hording Iron Banner tokens, drop them early. Granted, Iron Banner armor can now roll with enhanced perks, but given that the entire armor system is about to change next season, I don’t think that’s exactly a huge priority right now. Why? Because once you unlock a piece of armor, it gets added to the loot pool, and can start dropping from end of match rewards, packages or bounties instead of weapons that you probably want more. This kind of ties into the above, but before you unlock too many armor pieces, if you are hunting Iron Banner weapons, I would turn in as many tokens as you can before you start unlocking parts of the new set.
